Construction and Building Projects

The critical need is for construction/renovation of the current/old Sugd Teacher Training Institute (STTI) (3500 square feet) and the newly acquired three story building at 47 Sir Daryo St. (22,500 square feet) located in the city of Khujan in the northwestern Sugd province (or Oblast) of Tajikistan.  The project will run from November 15, 2006 until completed on September 1, 2007 if funding can be obtained to support the schedule below. This project, when completed, will significantly impact the lives of 35,777 school teachers and half a million Tajik school children they teach.   Mr. K.R. Kosimov, Governor, Sugd District, promises to fund 25% of labor and materials.
