Imagine being buried
alive! Estimates are that between 100,000 and 200,000 Haitians
suffered this terrible fate. Today, the security situation in Haiti
is deteriorating rapidly and complicating the almost impossible task
of pushing aid from the ports to the people who need it.
While some aid is getting through, most of it is stacked at the Port
Au Prince airport, marine ports, or at the border between the
Dominican Republic and Haiti. The earthquake destruction has blocked
roads and the problem is made worse by rising instability and the
lack of a distribution mechanism to deliver the aid. This is where
Robyn and I can help. While our efforts will only affect a
relatively small number of the millions affected by the earthquake,
we may be able to save some. Right now, we need to raise as
much money as we can.
Since announcing our
decision to mobilize for the Haitian Relief Ministry project,
Five strong brethren have stepped forward volunteering to go with us
and these are not folks who will shy away from the worst…I know
them, they have worked with us in similar conditions.
I am sure that you
already realize the urgency of the situation and that time is of the
essence. If you can help, please donate toward this effort safely

We need up to five more “Tough Guy/Gals” to join our team. We leave
January 31, 2010. You should plan to be there for two weeks. We
will fly (at this time) in to the Dominican Republic and trek 160
miles into Haiti to the affected area. Upon arrival we will
purchase as much supplies as our funds allow in the Dominican
Republic. We will carry 200% of our personal need on our back so
that we can support ourselves and at least one other person for two
weeks. If God provides, we will hire trucks and convoy with an
armed security detail. Our survival packing “Kit” will include
tents for our headquarters and for our own sleeping arrangements so
that we will be 100% self supporting and so that we do not take
anything away from the disaster victims. In Haiti we will join with
an existing relief operation to assist them. As our plan develops
we will keep you informed. Please pray for our preparations and
need for this effort.
